Pittsburgh Steelers legendary quarterback Terry Bradshaw says he has inside knowledge that Aaron Rodgers could be on his way back to the Steelers for a second season.

Bradshaw said he heard that right after Mike McCarthy was hired as the new head coach of the team, Rodgers told the Steelers coach if he wanted him to return, he would.

“I have heard, right when the McCarthy thing was announced, or before it was announced, I’d already heard that Aaron Rodgers had told Mike, ‘If you want me to come back for a year, I’ll come back and join you,’” Bradshaw said on 103.5 the Buzz. “I think now, you know what, let’s bring Aaron back. I mean he knows the offense, he’ll do well with, they’ll bring in some players.”

Rodgers played under McCarthy’s tutelage for over a decade with the Packers. While the relationship had reportedly gone sour by the end of McCarthy’s time in 2018, it certainly appears the Steelers could try to bring Rodgers back.

Rodgers mulled retirement last offseason after two terrible seasons with the New York Jets following his Hall of Fame-caliber 18 seasons with the Green Bay Packers. He joined Pittsburgh on a one-year contract in June 2025.
