Pittsburgh Steelers legend turned Fox Sports analyst Terry Bradshaw dropped some major news regarding Aaron Rodgers’ future with the Steel City brand of football.
According to Bradshaw, Rodgers told new Steelers head coach Mike McCarthy he would return to Pittsburgh for another season if he wanted him to.
“I have heard, right when the [Mike] McCarthy thing was announced, or before it was announced, I’d already heard that Aaron Rodgers had told Mike, ‘If you want me to come back for a year, I’ll come back and join you,’” Bradshaw said via 103.5 The Buzz. “I think now, you know what, let’s bring Aaron back. I mean, he knows the offense. They’ll bring in some players. So now I’m going, ‘Okay,’ because I love Mike McCarthy.”
Bradshaw continued on, praising the move to hire McCarthy and claimed he “shouldn’t have gotten fired in Dallas.”
While it’s clear what side of the fence Bradshaw is leaning on, some fans have been critical of a potential reunion between McCarthy and Rodgers, specifically the decision to lean on aging veterans over younger talent at both head coach and quarterback.
