A U.S. politician is calling for the NFL and NBC to face punishment following Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl 60 halftime show.
Bad Bunny, 31, performed at halftime of the Super Bowl on Sunday evening. The iconic Puerto Rican rapper and singer performed for roughly 15 minutes. He brought Lady Gaga on stage for a special guest showing and was widely lauded for his stunning visuals and storytelling.
But not everyone loved it.
One prominent U.S. politician is calling for the NFL and NBC to face punishment over Bad Bunny’s halftime show, claiming that it was illegal.

Republican Congressman Randy Fine of Florida called Bad Bunny’s halftime show “disgusting” and claimed that it was “illegal,” too. He is calling for the NFL and NBC to face “dramatic” action.
Fine accused Bad Bunny of swearing and violating several TV rules.
The NFL, NBC is facing potential punishment
Fine is calling for the NFL and NBC to face punishment.
“You can’t say the f-word on live TV. ‘Bad Bunny”s disgusting halftime show was illegal. Had he said these lyrics — and all of the other disgusting and pornographic filth in English on live TV, the broadcast would have been pulled down and the fines would have been enormous. Puerto Ricans are Americans and we all live by the same rules. We are sending @BrendanCarrFCC a letter calling for dramatic action, including fines and broadcast license reviews, against the @NFL, @nbc, and ‘Bad Bunny.’ Lock them up,” he wrote on X.
The NFL, meanwhile, stands by the halftime show.
“Bad Bunny is, and I think that was demonstrated last night, one of the great artists in the world, and that’s one of the reasons we chose him,” NFL commissioner Roger Goodell shared.
President Trump, unsurprisingly, hated it.
“The Super Bowl Halftime Show is absolutely terrible, one of the worst, EVER! It makes no sense, is an affront to the Greatness of America, and doesn’t represent our standards of Success, Creativity, or Excellence. Nobody understands a word this guy is saying, and the dancing is disgusting, especially for young children that are watching from throughout the U.S.A., and all over the World,” he wrote.
“This ‘Show’ is just a ‘slap in the face’ to our Country, which is setting new standards and records every single day — including the Best Stock Market and 401(k)s in History! There is nothing inspirational about this mess of a Halftime Show and watch, it will get great reviews from the Fake News Media, because they haven’t got a clue of what is going on in the REAL WORLD — And, by the way, the NFL should immediately replace its ridiculous new Kickoff Rule. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN! President DONALD J. TRUMP”
The NFL has yet to announce the halftime show performer for Super Bowl 61, which is set to be played in Los Angeles.
