Denver Broncos safety JL Skinner is the latest member of the team to undergo offseason surgery.
Now is the time guys want to get things fixed with the hope of being ready for some spring work and certainly training camp this summer.
Skinner joins cornerback Jahdae Barron and OLB Nik Bonitto in making their operations public. For Skinner, he played the entire 2025 season with a torn labrum.

Skinner was a stud on special teams for Denver this year and a key piece for coordinator Darren Rizzi. He played only 34 snaps on defense, but still finished with 12 tackles overall and recovered a fumble. The Broncos took Skinner in the sixth-round of the 2023 NFL Draft.
He was inactive for the AFC Championship against the New England Patriots with an unrelated quad injury, but appeared in all 17 regular season games and the divisional round win over the Buffalo Bills, recording two tackles.
Recovery from torn labrum surgery can be between four and six months, so it’ll be worth keeping an eye on if Skinner is ready to go for training camp come late July.
