Below are some highlights from speeches general manager John Schneider, head coach Mike Macdonald and a number of players made.
• General manager John Schneider
“It’s about the 12s. It started with the 12s, it ends with the 12s. What all of these people do, it’s all about you. All these guys, coaches, staff, everybody.”
“We had a lot of angels this year. I lost my father the day after the Houston game this year, and we had angels all. Ernest (Jones IV) lost his father. Jake Bobo lost his father. Drew Lock lost his father. Charles Cross lost his father. … It’s real. Angels, faith, watching over us. I know my father’s been watching over us the whole time. We only lost one game since my father passed. With those angels, we know that Paul Allen has watched over us. To Paul Allen! And Jody, Paul would be so proud of you the way you’ve led this organization and allowed us to be where we are. To Jody Allen! Let’s go!”
“To the players. This league is all about the players. Everybody knows that. We couldn’t be more proud of the players, the work you guys put in, the work that you guys did to build relationships… But you guys are the heart and soul of what’s going on. It’s all about you guys.”
• Head coach Mike Macdonald
“I’ll tell you what, when we set on this course two years ago, Jody and I sitting in a hotel meeting room in Baltimore, this is the vision that we had for the Seahawks. We talk about 12 as one. Look at all the 12s in this stadium right here. You see how powerful this is? With this football team? I’ve got goosebumps just thinking about it.
“This is why we do what we do, to bring people together. That’s why football’s the best sport in the world. Having a football team is just the best thing going, man. All these guys from different backgrounds, different histories, different stories, all coming together toward a common goal. It shows you the power of 12 as one.”
“I just wanna say, we love the 12s, you guys are the best in the world. And now we’re the best football team in the world. World champs!”

• Quarterback Sam Darnold
“A lot of people didn’t believe in me, but it didn’t matter, because the ones that are close believed in me, including y’all. I appreciate y’all so much. That short list also includes Jody Allen, John Schneider and Mike Macdonald. I appreciate the belief y’all had in me for signing me this last year.”
“And last but certainly not least, these players man, for believing in me. I wouldn’t be here without these guys. This defense, man. Hey, can we give it up one more time for this defense?!”

• Tight end AJ Barner
“First of all, I’ve just gotta say, I love this city. And I’ve got a few things for y’all. First, we did not care. Second, we still don’t care. Third, the Super Bowl Hawks live here. God bless, go Seahawks, we love you Seattle.”
• Wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba
“We had one goal, and that was to bring this home. And that’s what we did to the best fans in the world. This is for y’all!
Macdonald then chimed in: “Put some respect on that man’s name!”

• Cornerback Devon Witherspoon
“I just want to say thank you all. Thank God for the best fanbase in the world. You talk about who showed up in the opponents’ building and we were treated like ourselves, that’s y’all right there.”
• Defensive tackle Leonard Williams
“12s, how we feeling?! I’ve just gotta say, none of this would be possible without y’all. I appreciate y’all. I appreciate the way y’all took me in this year, the way you all embraced me. I know I didn’t get drafted here, I know I didn’t start my career here, but I just knew as soon as I got here, this was a special place. The way y’all backed this team through the good and the bad, man, I just knew it was special.
“And I’ve just gotta say, it takes a team to get here. It takes a team to get here. From the top to the bottom, John Schneider, Mike… It takes a whole community to push in the right direction to get to this point, and I appreciate y’all. And hey, we’re not done. We’re coming back next year!”
• Linebacker Ernest Jones IV
“We ain’t going nowhere!”
• Wide receiver Cooper Kupp
“Hey Washington, how bout them apples, huh? Hey, thank you guys for embracing a kid, a couple kids from Eastern Washington, Yakima, the Tri-Cities, I appreciate you all.”
“Hey, these guys here, we embraced a style that nobody wants to play, but you guys made the stadium no one wants to come to. But even more, you took over every stadium that we went to this year and made it ours. Thank you so much. You guys are incredible, best fanbase in the world. Thank you!”
