The Philadelphia Eagles are entering the 2026 offseason with a ton of questions, especially on the offensive line, as starters Lane Johnson and Landon Dickerson face uncertain futures.

Johnson and Dickerson have been high-level starters on Philadelphia’s offensive line over the last few years, but both could retire this offseason, which would create two gaping holes in the trenches for the Eagles.

With Johnson and Dickerson potentially contemplating retirement, ESPN’s Adam Schefter provided an update on their situations during an appearance on 97.5 The Fanatic.

“I do expect that Lane Johnson will be back. I have heard the Landon Dickerson conversation [on potential retirement], I don’t know how real it is or isn’t; but I’d be surprised if Lane Johnson isn’t back, I don‘t know as much about Landon Dickerson,” Schefter said on the Kincade & Salciunas show.

Johnson is still arguably the best right tackle in the sport, and though he’s coming off an injury-riddled 2025 campaign, the six-time Pro Bowler still has a couple of years of elite play left.

Dickerson is just 27 years old and has played five seasons for Philadelphia at left guard, earning three Pro Bowl selections.

However, Dickerson played through a plethora of injuries this past season, including a meniscus issue and back injury, and has undergone 13 surgeries throughout his career.

Overall, it seems like Johnson will be back with the Eagles in 2026, but Dickerson is very much up in the air. We’ll see what transpires.
