Former Philadelphia Eagles offensive coordinator Kevin Patullo is leaving for a new job.
The Miami Dolphins are hiring Patullo as their passing game coordinator, according to a Wednesday night report from NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo.
“Patullo spoke to multiple teams about assistant roles,” Garafolo wrote. “He’s been a trusted assistant for Nick Sirianni who has helped him with some of his head-coaching responsibilities during the week and on gameday the last five years. Will do the same for new Dolphins HC Jeff Hafley.”
Patullo was removed as the Eagles’ OC last month, but he was not fired. There was the possibility that he would stick around on the coaching staff for the 2026 season.
Instead, Patullo is moving on after a failed solo season as the Eagles’ play-caller.
Patullo, a close confidant of Sirianni who served as the team’s pass game coordinator from 2021-24, was promoted ahead of the 2025 season to replace Kellen Moore.
But Patullo’s offense failed to live up to the high standard set by the Super Bowl LIX champs.

In 2024, the Eagles ranked second in rushing (179.3 yards per game), seventh in scoring (27.2 points per game) and 10th in third-down conversion rate (41.7%).
In 2025, they ranked 18th in rushing (116.9 ypg), 19th in scoring (22.3 ppg) and 24th in third-down conversion rate (37.1%) with the league’s highest three-and-out rate.
The highest-paid unit in the NFL, per Spotrac, would often have one strong half before or after failing to move the ball in the other half. That problem reared its ugly head in the Eagles’ early playoff exit to the San Francisco 49ers.
Patullo was the subject of fans’ ire throughout the season. His house was egged in late November, and he was frequently booed by fans at Lincoln Financial Field.
Some of the Eagles’ stars, who struggled individually to perform up to their standards, felt like the brunt of the blame was undeservingly put at Patullo’s feet.
But Patullo was removed from his post and later replaced by Green Bay Packers assistant Sean Mannion. The hiring of Mannion set off a series of staff changes, including the hiring of Josh Grizzard as pass game coordinator.
Patullo was still on staff as of Tuesday, according to The Philadelphia Inquirer’s Jeff McLane.
But instead of sticking around in a behind-the-scenes role, Patullo is off to Miami.
