ESPN’s Field Yates released his latest 2026 NFL mock draft. However, the Jacksonville Jaguars were not included because they do not have a first-round draft pick.
That selection was traded to the Cleveland Browns last April in the deal that allowed the Jaguars to move up to select Travis Hunter.
So the Jaguars won’t be on the clock for the first time until Day 2 of this year’s draft.
However, let’s take a look at Yates’ mock draft anyway, but do so from the Jaguars’ perspective.
Which defensive linemen were selected?
Had the Jaguars owned their first-round pick, they would be selecting at 24th overall. In that range, from picks 19-26, four defensive linemen were taken, including three edge rushers.

Addressing the defensive line should be a top priority for GM James Gladstone. For one, depth at both positions is needed, but the Jaguars could also use more pass rush juice at defensive tackle specifically.
The good news is that beyond this portion of the draft, there does seem to be good overall depth at those positions.
Quite a few offensive linemen and receivers were taken
Seven of the 11 selections between picks 22-32 were either offensive linemen or wide receivers. For the Jaguars, this is a good thing. Neither of those positions is a huge need this offseason, so the more prospects taken from those position groups, the more that will push down players at higher priority needs for Jacksonville.
Gladstone will have plenty of flexibility
The Jaguars may not have a first-round pick, but Jacksonville does have 11 picks in total, including four in the top 100. This will provide Gladstone with the flexibility to still add immediate impact help or to move around the draft board on Days 2 and 3 as he sees fit.
