Three Georgia men’s tennis players were named to All-SEC teams on Thursday, with senior Ryan Colby and Thomas Paulsell earning First Team honors and Miguel Perez Peña landing on the Second Team.

Colby stacked eight SEC singles wins, seven ranked victories and clinched three matches this spring as Georgia’s “go-to” guy on court one. His consistent presence at the top of the lineup was a major reason the Bulldogs stayed competitive throughout their conference slate.

Paulsell put together his most complete season yet. He posted a career-best in SEC wins and became the program’s 55th All-American.

Perez Peña grabbed Second Team recognition after posting a career-high in singles wins and a hot start to dual match play. He also led the team with 11 doubles victories, anchoring several of Georgia’s key pairings throughout the spring.

The Bulldogs are expected to earn a spot in the NCAA Tournament when selections are announced next week. The first rounds begin May 15 in Waco, Texas.
