Will Redmond, the former FootballScoop Director of Player Personnel of the Year and a University of Tennessee graduate whose held key roles in several college football personnel departments, is getting a crack at the NFL, FootballScoop has learned.

Multiple sources tell FootballScoop that Redmond is being hired by the Green Bay Packers into a front-office, personnel role within the storied franchise. Matt Zenitz had reported that Redmond was expected to be hired by Green Bay.

Most recently general manager at Auburn University, Redmond did not carry through at Auburn when the program fired Hugh Freeze late in 2025 and ultimately transitioned into the Alex Golesh era.

Redmond, who received interest from multiple additional Southeastern Conference programs and other Power Four Conference residents, including in the Atlantic Coast Conference, instead explored the NFL pathway.

Redmond first did some scouting work for the Packers during the recent Reese’s Senior Bowl Week in Mobile, Alabama, sources previously told FootballScoop.

In addition to his undergraduate work on Rocky Top at Tennessee, Redmond also has worked at MTSU, Western Michigan, Kansas and LSU prior to his arrival at Auburn three years ago.
