Jaxson Dart #6 of the New York Giants warms up prior to the game against the Las Vegas Raiders at Allegiant Stadium.
The New York Giants have several players set to test unrestricted free agency this offseason, many of whom played key roles for Big Blue throughout this past season.
Right tackle Jermaine Eluemunor figures to land a starting job somewhere, 35-year-old guard Greg Van Roten is on an expiring deal, and starting cornerback Cordale Flott is likely to test the market and see what his value is.
The most important of the bunch, though, may be wide receiver Wan’Dale Robinson.
Robinson, the Giants’ second-round pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, led the team in receiving this past season, recording career highs in yards and touchdowns.
He’s hitting the market at the perfect time, and his value has probably never been higher, which could be bad news if New York hopes to retain their homegrown talent.
Wan’Dale Robinson Predicted to Sign With Titans
Fox Sports’ Greg Auman predicted that Robinson will leave the New York Giants and sign with the Tennessee Titans during the 2026 offseason.
The Titans are armed with over $100 million in cap space heading into free agency, according to Over the Cap, and can theoretically offer Robinson the most money of any team interested in his services.
He would also be reunited with former Giants head coach Brian Daboll, the new offensive coordinator in Tennessee.
“Robinson, 25, is a volume receiver. Only five receivers in the league have more targets in the last two seasons than his 280, and while the other five average 18 touchdown catches in that span, Robinson has just seven,” wrote Auman.
“So he’s coming off a 1,014-yard season with 90 catches, but only 42% of those catches resulted in a first down. There are lofty projections out there for Robinson. Spotrac has him getting $15 million a year, but that’s a lot for someone with nine career touchdowns on 389 targets.”
Auman downplays Robinson’s production in 2025 as the result of volume more than anything else, but considering he had one fewer reception than he did in 2024 and still put up almost 300 more yards is quite impressive.
He could provide Cam Ward with a reliable threat in the slot, while Calvin Ridley hopes to reclaim some of his early career magic on the outside.
If anyone can figure out how to use Robinson effectively, it’s his former coach, Daboll.
Will Wan’Dale Robinson Really Leave the Giants?
Unfortunately for the New York Giants, even if they want to hold onto Robinson, they just may not have the financial flexibility to do so.
In November, Robinson told the Trentonian’s Greg Johnson that he plans on testing the market and seeing what’s out there for him.
“I think we’ll probably just stick it out and just go to free agency and just kind of go from there. Obviously I can’t predict the future. We’ll see what happens from there, but I think right now it’s just gonna be a free agency thing,” Robinson told Johnson.
Spotrac projects Robinson to land himself a four-year, $70.5 million deal in free agency, and the Giants are unlikely to have enough cap space to match that.
Over the Cap projects New York to have around $7 million available in cap space before any cuts or restructures, and the price tag on their homegrown wide receiver means even if they free up enough money to sign him, they won’t be able to make any other signings anywhere else on the roster.
In all likelihood, Robinson will be departing New York this offseason, and it will be on John Harbaugh and Joe Schoen to find a way to replace him in either the draft or free agency.
