The Seattle Seahawks announced their first roster moves since the Super Bowl win.

The Seattle Seahawks are already looking towards the future just days after winning the Super Bowl. Seattle announced several roster moves on February 12, 2026, headlined by an intriguing wide receiver.

The Seahawks signed a trio of wide receivers as part of a group of 15 players inked to new futures contracts. All 15 players were on Seattle’s practice squad, and the moves give the Seahawks the first chance to retain the young athletes for 2026.

Wideout Tyrone Broden is among the players signed to a futures deal. Broden is a 6-foot-4 receiver who played college football at Bowling Green and Arkansas before spending time on the team’s practice squad.

Seattle also inked wide receiver Montorie Foster to a futures deal. Foster was a former Michigan State playmaker before joining the Seahawks practice squad.

Perhaps the most notable of the Seahawks’ transactions is the signing of playmaker Ricky White III. The former UNLV receiver posted back-to-back college football seasons topping 1,000 yards.

Back in 2023, White notched 88 catches for 1,483 yards and eight touchdowns. The Seahawks selected White in the seventh round of the 2025 NFL draft.

Here’s what you need to know about the latest Seahawks roster moves.

Seahawks News: Seattle Signed 15 Players to Futures Contracts After the Super Bowl

The Seahawks signed 12 more players in addition to the three receivers. Seattle announced the signing of the following players to future contracts: running back Cam Akers, tackle Logan Brown, cornerback Tyler Hall, safety Maxen Hook, running back Velus Jones Jr., center Federico Maranges, linebacker Chris Paul Jr., linebacker Jamie Sheriff, defensive tackle J.R. Singleton, defensive tackle Bubba Thomas, linebacker Ja’Markis Weston and running back Jacardia Wright.

What is an NFL futures contract? Many of these players face a long road in attempting to make the final roster ahead of Week 1, but it gives Seattle the first chance to sign the individual for next season.

“It’s the same as a regular active-roster contract, with the regular rules for minimum veteran salaries, cap charges, signing bonuses, etc,” Bleacher Report’s Ty Schalter detailed in a February 4, 2014, story titled, “Everything You Need to Know About NFL Futures Contracts.” “The only difference is that it doesn’t take effect until the start of the next League Year.

“… Teams can sign players to futures contracts as soon as the previous regular season is over, but the contract won’t count against the salary cap or 53-man limit. Instead, it’ll count against the salary cap and 90-man camp limit of the following season,” Schalter added.

“In the meantime, the player goes on the reserve/futures list and can’t be signed by any other team.”

Seahawks Rumors: Seattle Is Looking to Promote a Current Assistant Coach to Replace Ex-Offensive Coordinator Klint Kubiak

Seattle also faces decisions about the team’s coaching staff, starting with offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak who is now the Las Vegas Raiders head coach. The widespread expectation is that the Seahawks will look to promote one of the team’s current assistant coaches to take over the offensive coordinator role.

“I’m told Seahawks and coach Mike Macdonald are closing in on hiring from within the team’s current coaching staff to be Seattle’s new offensive coordinator to replace Klint Kubiak,” The News Tribune’s Gregg Bell detailed in a February 9, message on X.
