Looking back at the Jacksonville Jaguars’ 2025 NFL draft class, how did one analyst evaluate the play of this group?

Gennaro Filice of NFL.com recently handed out grades for all 32 draft classes and ranked them as well.

When it came to the Jaguars, Jacksonville was ranked near the bottom, receiving a C- grade, which was 30th overall.

“Following a breakout offensive performance against the Rams in London — Hunter corralled eight passes for 101 yards (both season highs) and his first touchdown in the Week 7 game — the No. 2 overall pick suffered a non-contact knee injury in practice that abruptly ended his debut campaign,” wrote Filice.

Unfortunately, injuries were a reality for the Jaguars’ 2025 rookie class.

Hunter, as Filice mentioned, missed the second half of the season with a knee injury as it looked like he was about to take off on offense.

Caleb Ransaw and Jalen McLeod were both sidelined for the entire season, while Wyatt Milum was injured during training camp and through the first portion of the year.

Now, the Jaguars did get some positive contributions on Day 3 of the draft. Bhayshul Tuten and LeQuint Allen shared the RB2 role, while Jack Kiser and Rayuan Lane were core special teams contributors.

Jonah Monheim stepped in at center on a few occasions when needed.

Undrafted rookies BJ Green and Danny Striggow also made the 53-man roster and went from only helping on special teams to filling rotational roles on defense.

In terms of Year 1 from this rookie class, the Jaguars didn’t get a ton of high-end contributions. However, Jacksonville’s ability to get steady contributions from Day 3 picks and UDFAs is a good sign for the future, Gladstone said, and the strong processes that Jacksonville has in place.

“At this point, there’s plenty of room for optimism,” Gladstone said of the draft class.
