Former Griz linebacker Patrick O’Connell made headlines on Super Bowl Sunday with the “GOAT Gatorade Shower” after the Seahawks won it all in Santa Clara.

“I think Brady (Russell) [Seahawks fullback] was standing over by it and we’re just both like, well, it didn’t look like anyone else was going to do it,” O’Connell told me.
“I had to dump a little bit out because it was so full, and it was hard to find him. He was kind of lost in the wash a little bit once the game wrapped up. There’s another video you can see me and Brady trying to navigate through a bunch of traffic. And yeah, we got a good shot on him.”

“After we dumped the Gatorade on Mike (Macdonald) and everything, it was just go straight to every teammate that I could to congratulate them and hug them up and just say congrats.”
Inside the Seahawks’ Locker Room Celebration
Then it was on to the afterparty.
“So obviously right after the game, just going into the locker room, celebrate with the guys, you light up the cigar, have your beers and everything.”

Here is where the party would have gone to a whole other level for me.
“The afterparty, after the locker room, we had Ludacris and T-Pain performing.”
LUDA AND T-PAIN!? Imagine you just won the Super Bowl and Luda hits you with “Move B***h” followed by T’Pain’s “Buy U a Drank.”
As a 2000s kid, that’s as electric as it gets!

The guys partied into the early hours of Monday morning, got a breather on Tuesday, and then ramped the party up again for the parade.
“It was a heck of a party downtown Seattle. It was awesome.”
