The Seahawks signed defensive end Jalan Gaines on Friday, another addition after signing 15 other players off their practice squad to future contracts on Thursday.
Gaines, an undrafted rookie out of Illinois State, signed with the Seahawks following the 2025 draft and spent training camp and the preseason with the team before being waived as part of roster cuts, then re-signed to the practice squad before eventually being released during the season.
Gaines’ preseason with the Seahawks included a blocked field goal against the Raiders to deny a game-winning kick.
