Five former NFL players just received presidential pardons, and one of them is a former Bills running back with multiple 1,000‑yard seasons.

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. — President Donald Trump recently pardoned five former NFL players, including former Buffalo Bills running back Travis Henry.

The others players granted clemency Joe Klecko, Nate Newton, Jamal Lewis, and the late Billy Cannon. All five were pardoned for crimes ranging from perjury to drug trafficking.

In Henry’s case, he pleaded guilty to conspiracy to traffic cocaine for financing a drug ring between Colorado and Montana.

Henry spent the first four seasons of his career in Buffalo. He was a Bills second-round pick out of Tennessee in 2001 and ran for over 700 yards in his rookie season. He topped 1,400 yards in 2002 and 1,300 yards in 2003.

Henry played with the Tennessee Titans in 2005 and 2006, and then the Denver Broncos in 2007.
