Former New Orleans Saints assistant coach Andrew Janocko will reportedly be joining the staff of the Las Vegas Raiders. On Sunday, various reports have indicated that the Raiders are set to hire Janocko as their next offensive coordinator. Janocko served as the quarterbacks coach for the Seattle Seahawks on their way to a Super Bowl LX championship this past season.
Janocko, 37, is just the latest former New Orleans Saints coach to join the Raiders coaching staff. Just after winning Super Bowl LX, Seahawks offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak was hired as the new head coach of the Raiders. Kubiak was the Saints offensive coordinator for one season in 2024, while Janocko served as the New Orleans quarterbacks coach that season with Derek Carr and Spencer Rattler that season.
With Kubiak and Janocko in 2024, the Saints ranked 21st in total offense amid a slew of debilitating injuries. Each were hired by Seattle when the Saints made a head coaching change to Kellen Moore last offseason. With Kubiak and Janocko this past year, the Seahawks finished 14-3 while ranking eighth in total offense and third in points scored. They come to a Raiders squad that finished 3-14 and ranked dead last in total offense, points scored, and rushing production. This will be the first offensive coordinator position for Janocko. Seattle pivoted quickly to fill their opening. Within an hour after the Janocko announcement, the Seahawks hired Brian Fleury as their next offensive coordinator. Fleury had been an offensive assistant for the San Francisco 49ers since 2019. He’d stepped into one of the coaching roles held by Klint Kubiak with the 49ers before Kubiak’s departure to the Saints in 2024.
