The Eagles have been predicted to send A.J. Brown to the Broncos in an offseason trade
The Philadelphia Eagles could have a busy offseason ahead of them. They have already gotten started by making some big changes to their coaching staff, but now that those moves have been made, all eyes are turning to the roster. One guy whose future with the Eagles is very much up in question this offseason is superstar wide receiver A.J. Brown.
After a tension-filled 2025 campaign, Brown’s name has popped up in trade rumors early and often this offseason. While there’s no guarantee that Philly will move on from him, it feels like if he’s going to get traded, it will happen this offseason. With that in mind, Bill Barnwell of ESPN recently predicted that Brown will get shipped off to the Denver Broncos in a blockbuster move ahead of the 2026 campaign.
Eagles Predicted to Trade A.J. Brown to the Broncos
The Eagles picked up Brown in a trade with the Tennessee Titans back in 2022, and he’s helped Philly remain one of the most lethal teams in the league. Brown has earned a pair of Pro Bowl selections and three All-Pro Second Team honors during his time with Philadelphia, but none of those came in 2025, when he caught 78 passes for 1,003 yards and seven touchdowns.
Throughout the year, Brown struggled to hide his frustration with the Eagles’ passing attack. He frequently found himself getting wiped out of the gameplan, and he publicly voiced his displeasure with how things were going, so much so that Philadelphia reportedly had to step in and tell him to stop talking about the state of the team’s offense.
Brown clearly isn’t happy, but Philly isn’t going to just give him away. Enter the Broncos, who came up just short in their quest to find their way to the Super Bowl this season. Barnwell believes that Denver could use another top-tier weapon on offense, and he believes that if the front office offered cornerback Riley Moss, in addition to a 2026 second-round pick and a 2027 fifth-round pick, that would be enough for them to bring Brown to town.
“It would be a big swing for the Broncos, but after coming within a score of making it to the Super Bowl, I wouldn’t fault Payton for trying to add one more essential player on offense,” Barnwell wrote when explaining why he thinks this trade could go down over the next few months.
Should the Eagles Trade A.J. Brown?

This isn’t the first time that Brown has expressed his frustration with the Eagles’ offense, but a trade has never felt like a more realistic possibility for him this offseason. While Philly is obviously better when it has an engaged Brown at its disposal, it still has weapons like DeVonta Smith, Saquon Barkley, and Dallas Goedert on its roster.
Adding Moss would give Philadelphia a partner for Quinyon Mitchell at cornerback that it desperately needs, as well as some solid draft capital that general manager Howie Roseman could use to either add some young talent or swing more trades. Trading Brown would sting, but if the team believes it’s time to move on from him, this offer from the Broncos could be enough to get him sent out to Colorado.
