The Kansas City Chiefs have long needed to get Patrick Mahomes some proper dynamic weapons for the passing game.
Yes, Rashee Rice and Xavier Worthy are quality pieces, but for some, more is needed. But where could the Chiefs look?
Well, as lady luck would have it, the Miami Dolphins just opened the door to a reunion with Tyreek Hill after the AFC East franchise released the star receiver. Now the race is on for Tyreek’s signature.
And ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith thinks there should only be one team Tyreek goes to in 2026.
“You know what? He should be targeting going back to Kansas City, he should want to go back and play with Patrick Mahomes because he is desperately needed,” Smith said on ESPN’s First Take. “I don’t care that you got Worthy and Rice, they ain’t Tyreek Hill, they’re good, but I’m telling you right now, Tyreek Hill out there, is something to behold when healthy.
“He should want to go back because he should never have left.”

Is Hill the answer to Chiefs problems?
Possibly, and when you look at having Worthy, Rice, and Hill as your top three passing options, it gives the Chiefs a genuine three-headed monster and also gives the defense headaches as to who to try and stop.
The best thing is that with Hill released, Kansas City won’t have to break the bank to sign Hill; instead, a nice, cheap deal could be forthcoming after his ACL injury to prove himself again.
But the lure of playing for Andy Reid again, along with Mahomes and Travis Kelce, might be just what Hill needs.
And exactly what the rest of the AFC hopes doesn’t happen. Because, after all, we remember what Kansas City’s offense was like with Tyreek, right?
