With the NFL tag window opening, teams are beginning to make touch and surprising roster moves. Yesterday, the Miami Dolphins made multiple moves.
Among those moves, they made a surprising one in proceeding with the release of All-Pro wide receiver Tyreek Hill. The thought was that they may try to trade Hill before making this decision.
Hill’s health is likely a huge factor. That isn’t stopping fans and media from projecting where he will land next.

One of Hill’s former teammates, All-Pro defender Chris Jones, is already dialing him up and has a simple message: come back to us. That return destination is none other than Kansas City.
The Chiefs were bounced from postseason contention late last season–their first miss since 2012. It was a season filled with injuries, offensive dysfunction, and no true skill position standing out as a lead weapon.
With Hill approaching the age of 32 and coming off a major knee injury, he may not be the strongest option he once was. That doesn’t mean Andy Reid can’t make it work.

Reid and quarterback Patrick Mahomes have three Super Bowls. Only one of those was with a legitimate full arsenal of weapons.

The rest, you can argue their receivers and running backs have been solid at best. They haven’t had a true number one receiver since Hill’s departure in the 2022 offseason.
Time will tell where Hill goes. There’s no doubt he likely still wants to play. It’s just a matter of health and opportunity at this stage of his career.
