One of the bigger trade rumors going around the NFL this offseason involves the Philadelphia Eagles and star wide receiver AJ Brown. After a frustrating end to the season for the Eagles, many around the game believe that Brown could be on the move.
*PREDICTION*
The two sides have been involved in a public feud for some time, and it may be time to part ways. Brown has been an important piece to Phialdephia, even helping the franchise win the Super Bowl last season.
But the Eagles may want out of the partnership, as does Brown in all likelihood. And there have already been a few teams to inquire about Brown, giving more thought to the possibility of a trade going down this offseason.
This past season with the Eagles, Brown caught 78 passes for 1,003 yards and seven touchdowns, playing in 15 games. Brown is a pure possession-type receiver who could be a strong addition to any club.
Broncos Seen as Trade Partner?
ESPN insider Bill Barnwell put together some mock trades for NFL teams to consider, with the Eagles being involved. This one had Philadelphia sending Brown to the Denver Broncos for cornerback Riley Moss and draft picks.

Does This Trade Make Sense For Eagles-Broncos?
On the Eagles’ side, they would be moving off Brown at a low value, but this could be the offseason to make it happen. Brown has publicly been unhappy with Philadelphia over the last year or so, and it may have been a distraction in the locker room.
Even with losing Brown, the Eagles would gain a talented cornerback to help bolster the defensive unit. Philadelphia has multiple guys entering free agency this offseason, and addressing the cornerback spot through a trade could help things.
This past season, Moss put up one interception, one sack, and 80 total tackles for Denver. Moss also had three tackles for loss, while being a crucial piece to the dominant Broncos’ defensive unit.
Adding in the multiple draft picks could be nice, and would give the Eagles a chance to add even more talent to the team at a low cost. Overall, it’s a solid enough move for the Eagles, even if they are selling low on the star wideout.
On the Broncos’ side of this deal, this would be a slam dunk. Denver needs another top-tier wide reciever on the roster, and Brown could help take this team over the top.
Pairing him with Courtland Sutton and the other players in the Denver receivers’ room could unlock this offense completely. With quarterback Bo Nix likely to keep developing more, Brown could offer this team another weapon to throw the ball to, helping others get open in the process.
Denver wants to go after a Super Bowl this coming season, and if they could add Brown to the mix, they’d likely be the favorites in the AFC. This could be the move for the Broncos to help get them over the hump as true contenders next season.
