It’s another sign of relief for the New Orleans Saints as the Las Vegas Raiders make another key hire to their coaching staff.

After hiring former Saints offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak as their head coach, the Raiders also brought in two additional former staffers for their offensive coaching roster.

Former Saints and Seattle Seahawks quarterbacks coach Andrew Janocko is now the Las Vegas offensive coordinator and former senior offensive assistant Rick Dennison will serve as the team’s run game coordinator.

But one position was left to be filled that could have potentially led to the pursuit of a present Saints staff: wide receivers coach.

When Kubiak was the offensive coordinator in New Orleans, the team hired Keith Williams as its wide receivers coach. Still with the team today, he was the most likely poaching option for Kubiak in Las Vegas. The two have worked together and the Raiders play hours away from Williams’ former hometown, Stockton, Ca.

Instead, the Raiders hired former Pittsburgh Steelers assistant coach Zach Azzanni.

That leaves Williams in New Orleans. While there were no reports of interest between the Raiders and the Saints’ wide receivers coach, the connection between him and Kubiak made Williams the most likely candidate to be scooped up.

Now, even with the Steelers job still open, it appears the Saints will carry their entire coaching sans assistant offensive line coach Jahri Evans, who did take a new gig with Pittsburgh, into 2026. Or, at least, if there are further changes, they will be brought upon by the Saints’ own decisions.
