MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich.—Central Michigan Football has scheduled a two-game home-and-home series against Sun Belt Conference member Troy in both 2028 and 2030, Zyzelewski Family Vice President/Director of Athletics Amy Folan announced on Wednesday.

Central Michigan will travel to Troy, Ala. to play at Troy on Saturday, September 16, 2028. The Chippewas will host Troy for the return trip on Saturday, September 7, 2030.

The Chippewas’ two-game series with Troy will mark their second and third matchups against the Trojans. In the two program’s first matchup played in the GMAC Bowl on Jan. 6, 2010, No. 25 ranked Central Michigan rallied from a 12-point fourth quarter deficit to defeat Troy 44-41 in double overtime. CMU quarterback Dan LeFevour threw for a career-high 395 yards and the Chippewas used a trio of clutch special teams plays to win the game. Andrew Aguila converted a school-record fifth field goal in the second overtime to give the Chippewas the come-from-behind victory. The game was played at Ladd-Peebles Stadium in Mobile, Ala.
