The Baltimore Ravens introduced their new coordinators on Wednesday at the Under Armour Performance Center in Owings Mills, Maryland. Defensive coordinator Anthony Weaver opened the day by expressing gratitude for another opportunity in Baltimore.

“Every time I’ve stepped in this place it’s been special. First as a draft pick, getting a little lifelong dream of being in the NFL. Coming back many years later with a little bit more grays, but with the same goal in mind. Try to lead, serve, and help in anyway I can and help deliver a championship for Baltimore and now it’s no different. Different title, different role, but still here to serve and help in any way I can so extremely excited to be here and be with these guys and know we have everything we need to get it done.”

Weaver’s message was clear: while his title has changed, his purpose hasn’t. Now back in Baltimore as the Ravens‘ defensive coordinator, he emphasized leadership, service, and doing whatever it takes to help deliver the championship the organization — and the city — has been chasing.
