Titans’ coordinators speak on new role with Tennessee

  • February 18, 2026

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – Tennessee Titans coordinators Brian Daboll and Gus Bradley spoke to media for the first time since joining head coach Robert Saleh’s staff.

Daboll, the former New York Giants head coach, was hired as offensive coordinator. Bradley was named defensive coordinator. Both addressed reporters one week after the Titans finalized their coaching staff with 14 new additions.

Bradley said he wants a fast and violent defense. Daboll emphasized an offense that is smart and tough.

Both coordinators cited their relationship with Saleh as a key factor in joining Tennessee.

“Robert Saleh and I have known each other for many years. I had the chance to work with him last year,” Bradley said. “I think we have a lot of the same philosophies, although we are different. We had a chance to kind of tear apart the defense last year. Look at things we didn’t want to do, what we did want to do and just to keep that part of it going I think was very intriguing to me.”

Daboll said the decision felt like the right fit with the right people.

“Obviously, I have a relationship with Robert. His vision of what he wants to do and how he wants to do it and then ultimately Cam was a big factor,” Daboll said. “I have a lot of confidence in this young man, so I look forward to working with him.”

Saleh will call defensive plays, the same arrangement he and Bradley had in San Francisco.

All three will head to Indianapolis next week for the NFL Combine. The Tennessee Titans have the 4th overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft.
