The Detroit Lions are announcing news about wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown. He clocked 117 receptions for 1,401 receiving yards last season.
Amon-Ra St. Brown had a strong 2025-26 season with the Detroit Lions, even though the team’s final result was less than stellar. For the regular season, the team ended their story with a 9-8 record and, according to team research, the last spot in the NFC North.
It wasn’t a great season for the Detroit Lions, by any means, and they didn’t make it to the postseason. But, St. Brown did his part to help, clocking 117 receptions for 1,401 receiving yards and an impressive 11 touchdowns, according to ESPN research. He also had a 12 yards-per-reception average and a 68.0 percent catch rate.
After the team’s final game against former offensive coordinator Ben Johnson and the Chicago Bears with a 19-16 final score, Campbell gave props to his full team, including St. Brown.
“Proud of them. That’s the way to finish,” Campbell said in a postgame press conference. “I really didn’t expect anything different out of them just knowing the guys that we had I tell you what. But nonetheless I’m still proud of them because it’s not always the easiest thing. You get eliminated and it’s hard for some guys.”
He added, “You’re back out in the elements and with a team that’s already clinched. But our guys fought, man, from the beginning even when they came back, we were up two scores, they came back, our guys didn’t bat an eye and we were able to finish it out. Really one of the best games we’ve played as far as complementary football. That’s really what. A lot of really good performances by a lot of guys.”
Detroit Lions Share Amon-Ra St. Brown News During NFL Offseason
On Wednesday, February 18, the Detroit Lions took to social media to celebrate St. Brown’s season and also share his exceptional stats and footage from the run. In a riveting photo and video gallery shared to the team’s pages, the Lions embraced St. Brown. It’s just another reminder of how smart the team was to pick him up in the 2021 NFL draft as the 112th overall pick, the 16th pick in the fourth round.
Followers were quick to react to the post about St. Brown. Some simply put a bunch of fire emojis, while others shared hearts.
“Best WR in the league,” one said on the post. “Already excited for his 2026 touchdowns’ celebrations,” another added. “Look at St. Brown, man, so inspirational,” another added.
“No. 1 receiver in the NFL,” one stated on X. “God of touchdown celebrations, as well,” one more said.
The Future of the Detroit Lions in the 2026-27 Season
The 2026-27 season is just months away, although that may seem like an eternity. After the Detroit Lions’ final game of the season, Campbell talked about the future of the team.
“Well, I’ll say this: I believe that things happen for a reason, right wrong or indifferent. And just when something like this happens, I believe it’s going to be for the best,” he said. “It’s up to Brad (Holmes) and I to make it for the best and the guys that we know we’re going to count on on this team. So that’s how I view it.”
