Former Green Bay Packers President and CEO Mark Murphy joined Wisconsin’s Midday News on Wednesday to discuss his induction into the Wisconsin Athletic Hall of Fame and his legacy.

During the conversation, Murphy pointed to the team’s Super Bowl XLV victory as his top on-field highlight and called the growth of Titletown and continued investment in Lambeau Field major off-field achievements. He also cited hosting the 2025 NFL Draft, which drew roughly 600,000 fans and showcased Wisconsin on a national stage.

Murphy said the Packers’ public ownership model and the NFL’s revenue sharing system keep Green Bay competitive despite being the league’s smallest market. He expects the league’s international schedule to expand in the coming years, likely tied to negotiations over an 18-game season.

Murphy will be inducted July 8 at the Marcus Performing Arts Center.
