“Who is Josh Allen?”
That’s a complicated question, in general, but it was also the answer to a Jeopardy clue.
On Wednesday night’s episode of Jeopardy, Allen was the final answer in the sports category.
Host Ken Jennings read the following clue to the contestants.
The host said, “2025 was a big year for this man. He was named the NFL’s MVP for the previous year and he married Hailee Steinfeld.”
The clue was accompanied by a photo of Allen next to his wife. Roger, the returning champion, was quick to identify the Buffalo Bills quarterback as the answer.
Sports knowledge is not always guaranteed among contestants on Jeopardy, but the contestants answered all five questions in the category correctly. This led to Jennings joking about the contestants proving stereotypes wrong.
“You guys were 5-for-5 in sports, proving the stereotypes wrong,” Jennings quipped.
Allen did not repeat as NFL MVP this season, but the quarterback finished third in voting behind the winner, Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford, and runner-up Drake Maye.
This season, Allen completed 69.3 percent of his passes for 3,668 yards. He had 39 total touchdowns (25 passing, 14 rushing) to help the Bills finish 12-5. Buffalo would earn a Wild Card berth and advance to the divisional round of the playoffs.
Jeopardy has had its fair share of Bills questions as of late, as well as contestants who support the team. In January of this year, one contestant’s Final Jeopardy answer simply read, “Go Bills!” One year before that, another contestant shared how they baptized their child into the Bills Mafia fan base.
