Doubs is set to be a free agent this offseason.

The Green Bay Packers‘ 2025 season ended on a sour note with a 31-27 wild-card playoff loss to the Chicago Bears. Despite having an 18-point lead at halftime, the Packers let the game slip through their fingers as Chicago came charging back.

The Packers’ defense forced one interception and two turnovers on downs in the first half. They snagged another pick during the second half, but every other drive for the Bears resulted in points.

Green Bay’s offense could only muster up one touchdown in the second half after scoring three on four possessions during the first. Among Green Bay’s bright spots offensively in that game was fourth-year wide receiver Romeo Doubs.

Green Bay Packers WR Romeo Doubs Named to PFF’s 2025 All-Playoff Team

While creating their 2025 All-Playoff Team, Pro Football Focus gave one of their three wide receiver spots to Doubs, who earned an 88.9 overall grade for his performance. Here is their analysis on him:

“The Packers limped to the playoffs on the back of four straight losses, and they fell to their rival Chicago Bears 31-27 in a close wild-card matchup. When the Green Bay offense was rolling, it was excellent, and WR Romeo Doubs was at the center of the group’s success. Doubs caught eight of 11 targets for 124 yards and a touchdown, and his 88.9 PFF grade was second among receivers in the postseason. Doubs averaged a healthy 15.5 yards per reception, and his 3.44 yards per route run were the second-most.”

No other Packers players made the list. The other two wide receiver spots were given to Puka Nacua of the Los Angeles Rams (86.0 grade) and Parker Washington of the Jacksonville Jaguars (89.4 grade). The Rams fell to the Seattle Seahawks in the NFC Championship Game, while the Jaguars loss in the wild-card round to the Buffalo Bills.

Doubs has certainly had his moments throughout his four-year tenure in Green Bay, but it’s probably best for both sides to move on. The Packers have quality depth at the wide receiver position and limited salary cap space, while Doubs will look to secure the most lucrative contract he possibly can.

The Packers selected Doubs in the fourth round of the 2022 NFL Draft. During that time he recorded 202 receptions for 2,424 yards and 21 touchdowns in 59 games played, including a career high 724 receiving yards in 2025. Doubs may not be a bona fide No. 1 receiver, but is as good as you can get as a No. 2.

However, still just 25 years old, Doubs could end up rounded out as a legitimate top receiving threat. He has an excellent blend of height, weight, and 4.4 40-yard dash speed. Doubs should have a robust market when he hits free agency next month.

That could lead to the Packers getting a nice compensatory pick in the 2027 NFL Draft. Other Green Bay receivers ready to carry the load next season include Matthew Golden, Christian Watson, Dontayvion Wicks, and Jayden Reed. The passing game will also get a major boost when star tight end Tucker Kraft returns from his torn ACL injury.
