Season to season, ESPN SEC analyst Paul Finebaum ebbs and flows in terms of his opinions 0n Texas football. This time last year, Finebaum was sky-high as he predicted that then-redshirt sophomore quarterback Arch Manning would end up a Heisman Trophy winner by the end of the 2025 college football season. However, hardly any of Finebaum’s bolder than bold predictions came true in the end. This year, Finebaum isn’t as high.

“Listen, I’m not going back to where I was a year ago with declaring him the best player of all time, but he is a much better player,” Finebaum told the hosts of Get Up earlier this week, per Sports Illustrated. “He won the Heisman in November. Unfortunately, he did poorly in September and October … I think they will be in the semifinals of the CFP. I don’t think Texas will win.”
