GREEN BAY, Wi. (WAFB) – Three days, seven rounds, 257 picks, and countless prospects hoping to hear their name called.
Seven LSU Tigers had their names called up at the 2025 NFL Draft and now them, as well as the five Tigers who were signed as undrafted free agents, are taking their talents to the professional level.
LSU OT Will Campbell was selected in the first round of the draft as the No. 4 overall pick by the New England Patriots. With his selection, Campbell became the highest drafted offensive lineman in LSU history.
The second day of the draft saw several Tigers being called. LSU TE Mason Taylor was the first Tiger off the board that day, being selected No. 42 overall in the second round by the New York Jets. Mason became the second-highest drafted tight end in LSU history.
LSU OT Emery Jones Jr. and LSU EDGE Sai’vion Jones would come next, both being selected in the third round. Jones Jr., a Baton Rouge native, was picked No. 91 overall by the Baltimore Ravens and along with Campbell, marked the first time in program history the Tigers would have two offensive linemen selected in the first three rounds of the NFL Draft.
Before the second night concluded, Jones would be selected by the Denver Broncos as the No. 101 overall pick. During his time at LSU, Jones racked up 17 tackles for loss and 11 sacks.
The third and final day of the draft would be no different for the Tigers.
LSU EDGE Bradyn Swinson would reunite with Campbell at the New England Patriots. Swinson, picked No. 146 overall in the fifth round, led the Tigers in tackles for loss (13) during the 2024 season. LSU OG Miles Frazier, another fifth round pick who was a three-year starter on LSU’s offensive line, was selected No. 171 overall by the Detroit Lions.
In the seventh round, LSU OG Garrett Dellinger would join teammate Jones Jr. at the Baltimore Ravens. Dellinger, the No. 243 overall pick, is considered a versatile offensive lineman who started at 3 different positions during his 4 years with the Tigers.
By the end of the 2025 Draft, all four of LSU’s offensive linemen were selected.
Many other Tigers who were not drafted have signed with NFL teams as undrafted free agents, LSU confirms.
According to the school, LSU RB Josh Williams has signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, DL Paris Shand with the Buffalo Bills, S Major Burns with the Chicago Bears, and CB Zy Alexander with the Seattle Seahawks. LSU DL Gio Paez has also been invited to the Chicago Bears’ rookie minicamp.
