The Unpacking FuturePackers Countdown is a countdown of 100 prospects who theGreen Bay Packers could select in the 2026 NFL draft.
The Green Bay Packers must address the quality of depth across the offensive line this offseason. With Rasheed Walker and Sean Rhyan both set to hit free agency, and Elgton Jenkins potentially being a cap casualty, Brian Gutekunst will almost assuredly use multiple draft picks to bolster the Great Wall of Lambeau.
A potential target late on Day 3 of the 2026 NFL Draft is Fa’alili Fa’amoe. The Wake Forest prospect checks in at No. 67 in the Unpacking Future Packers Countdown.
Fa’amoe started his collegiate career at Washington State, where he started 26 games at right tackle. Fa’amoe transferred to Wake Forest this past season and started 12 games at right tackle.
“Fa’amoe is a thickly built linemen with excellent power behind his hands and a solid anchor to stymie bull rushes,” Devin Jackson, an NFL Draft writer for The Philadelphia Inquirer, said. “He uses his size and length to keep defenders at bay.”

Fa’amoe checks in at 6-4, 311 pounds with near 34-inch arms. He uses his reach to get into the chest of defenders and with his anchor, he doesn’t get bullied into the pocket. He’s an aggressive puncher. He’s hyperfocused and has alert eyes. This past season, Fa’amoe gave up two sacks and 20 pressures. His lateral quickness is a concern and that could lead to a kick inside to guard.
“Fa’amoe is at his best utilizing his length and power to mitigate power pass rushes,” Jackson said. “He does not have the foot quickness to consistently mirror, creating soft edges against speedier pass rushers.”
Fa’amoe works hard to sustain as a run blocker. To use one word to describe his run blocking, gritty. He has functional mobility when he gets out in space.
“Fa’amoe excels in moving edge rushers and defensive tackles on double teams up to linebackers and is solid in one-on-one base blocks at tackle,” Jackson said. “He leans on defensive linemen in the run game and is physical and powerful enough to produce knock backs in the run game.”
Fit with the Packers
The Packers have a pretty strong track record of drafting college offensive tackles and kicking them inside to guard. Fa’amoe could be the next in line.
“He will likely move to guard at the NFL level,” Jackson said. “He lacks the ideal foot quickness and recovery ability to live out on an island, but his powerful frame and ability to generate movement in the run game would be enhanced at guard.”
With Aaron Banks at left guard and Anthony Belton likely to be the starting right guard, Fa’amoe could provide depth at both spots and could serve as the backup for Zach Tom at right tackle.
“I would draft Fa’amoe to develop into a mauling guard that can provide depth and be a spot starter earlier in his career,” Jackson said. “He already has the power and anchor to handle the bull rushes if he moves to the interior, but if he can bring his feet more consistently with him as a run blocker and protect his outside shoulder better in pass pro, he’s a lineman worth developing into a swing interior linemen.”
Since taking over as general manager in 2018, Gutekunst has drafted 12 offensive linemen on Day 3 of the draft, with three of them coming in the seventh round. With his frame, power and ability to play guard and right tackle, Fa’amoe could be the next offensive lineman Gutekunst targets late on Day 3.
