The 66th annual National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame Lehigh Valley Chapter Scholar-Athlete banquet on March 1 at the Northampton Banquet and Event Center will feature Lehigh coach Kevin Cahill and East Stroudsburg University’s Jim Terwilliger as two of the night’s main speakers.

But Cahill and Terwilliger won’t be the only two local college football figures to be spotlighted.

In addition to the 34 high school scholar-athletes to be saluted will be six individuals from local colleges, including two who played high school football at Lehigh Valley schools.

As part of the festivities, the Wind Creek Casino in Bethlehem has donated dining gift certificates for the Wind Creek’s Chop House and Urban Table restaurants. The cost of each ticket is $10 (cash or check), and there will be winners.

“The Lehigh Valley Chapter of the National Football Foundation would like to thank Wind Creek Casino for their support in honoring our Lehigh Valley football scholar athletes,” said chapter president Tony Cocca. “We believe this Wind Creek Dining Experience raffle will help us with our fundraising efforts for our chapter and help us honor the student-athletes.”
