It’s safe to say that Breece Hall believes he deserves one of the NFL’s richest contracts at the running back position.

The New York Jets’ 2022 second-round pick is headed for unrestricted free agency on March 9 if the team does not place a franchise tag or transition tag on him. As we inch closer to Hall hitting the open market, the 24-year-old is making it clear how he views himself.

On Saturday, Hall shared a social media post that declared he has “a ton of upside” if he lands in a situation with “a better infrastructure around him.”

Taking to X/Twitter, Hall reposted a post from @SleeperNFL that used the caption “#Free20”, with 20 representing Hall’s jersey number. The post states that Hall ranks second on The Athletic’s list of top NFL free agents, citing the caption, “Hall is a home run threat every time he touches the ball and has produced consistently in poor circumstances. He has a ton of upside with a better infrastructure around him, including better QB play.”

The NFL’s tag window opened on Tuesday, Feb. 17. Four days later, the Jets have yet to make a decision on Hall’s future, although they still have until 4 p.m. EST on March 3 to decide if they wish to place a tag on Hall before he reaches the open market.

If Hall’s latest repost is any indication, he may be eager to seek out greener pastures. At the very least, he clearly hopes the Jets can surround him with a more favorable situation if they force him to stick around via the tag.
