The Chicago Bears have been one of the teams mentioned most in trade rumors and speculation this off-season. Of course, one of the players that they have consistently been linked to is Las Vegas Raiders star Maxx Crosby. In these rumors, it has been expressed that current Bears wide receiver DJ Moore could be included in the trade.
Moore, of course, was acquired by Chicago initially in the trade that also brought them the first overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. That pick was used to select quarterback Caleb Williams.
While Moore had a productive first season with the Bears, he saw his role decline in 2025, catching 50 passes for 682 yards and six touchdowns. He had 98 receptions for 966 yards and six touchdowns in 2024.
Chicago Bears trade proposal involves DJ Moore to the Las Vegas Raiders, but no Maxx Crosby return

Â
In a recent article in which he named each NFL team’s dream trade target, Alex Balentine of Bleacher Report had Moore listed as the wish for Las Vegas. However, unlike other proposals involving Moore to the Raiders, Crosby was not included in this one:
“All signs point to the Raiders drafting Fernando Mendoza with the first overall pick. They’ve already started the important work of putting him in a position to succeed by hiring Klint Kubiak as their head coach.
“The Chicago Bears were a prime example of what can happen when you pair a young, talented quarterback with the right head coach. Ben Johnson helped unlock a new level for Caleb Williams.
“He also had the help of a veteran receiver in D.J. Moore who was a steady veteran target. However, he’s become a luxury that the Bears might not be looking to keep. With Rome Odunze and Luther Burden ready to step up, the Bears could save $16.5 million by trading him.
“Moore would be a similar asset for the Raiders rebuild. He could provide veteran leadership and a consistent target while Mendoza and the Raiders young weapons get acclimated.
“He’s only 29 so there’s still a chance that he returns back to his 1,000-yard form in a new offense with more opportunity too.
In return for Moore, the Bears would receive a fourth-round pick in the 2026 NFL Draft.
This is a trade that could make a lot of sense for Chicago. While it does not land them Crosby, it would alleviate some cap space by moving Moore, whose role, as mentioned, declined in 2025. Additionally, adding another draft pick, especially one as early as the fourth round, would be a big positive, allowed the Bears to address other cap issues with a young inexpensive player.
