A hypothetical trade from Bleacher Report that would send Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown to the Buffalo Bills could create headaches for the New England Patriots this offseason.

The proposed deal has the Eagles receiving a 2026 second-round pick (No. 63 overall) and wide receiver Keon Coleman in exchange for Brown. The move would immediately upgrade Buffalo’s receiving corps alongside Josh Allen while taking the Patriots out of the running for Brown.

For the Patriots, the ripple effects look problematic. New England already faces a strengthened AFC East rival with one of the league’s top quarterbacks now paired with an elite deep threat in Brown. At the same time, the Eagles would likely jump into the receiver market to replace Brown, increasing competition and potentially driving up prices for available talent.

The Patriots enter the offseason with significant cap space and a young quarterback in Drake Maye worth investing around. Landing a proven playmaker like Brown has been a popular discussion point, but this scenario removes that option from the table and bolsters a direct divisional foe.

Brown posted 1,003 receiving yards and seven touchdowns in 15 games last season for the Eagles despite some reported friction within the organization. The 28-year-old has topped 1,000 yards six times in seven seasons.
