Mike Borgonzi and the Tennessee Titans are preparing for the offseason and face significant challenges, with important questions to answer in the coming weeks.

One of those is what will happen with guard Kevin Zeitler. Zeitler is an unrestricted free agent and sounded like he was open to returning in 2026 if given the chance. While he had an up-and-down season dealing with some nagging injuries, he was a solid veteran presence and steadying influence in the offensive line room.

Zeitler sees a robust market once free agency kicks off, and Zachary Pereles of CBS Sports believes he is one of the hidden gems available.

Kevin Zeitler, G, Titans

For his entire career, no matter where he’s been, Kevin Zeitler has come in and provided high-level guard play. That was true even in 2025, when the Titans were a mess and Zeitler was 35. Pro Football Focus ranked him as the 11th-best guard in the NFL. He has played in at least 15 games every season since 2015, he is sturdy in pass protection, and he has yet to show any signs of a large drop-off. Perhaps a reunion with the Lions or the Ravens — both of whom need guards — could be in order.

With new staff in place, it’s hard to tell what the team thinks of Jackson Slater, and bringing back Zeitler on a one-year deal would make some sense. Zeitler is a great locker room guy and is still playing at a high level. Plus, his return would give the line some continuity heading into 2026.

Like everything else, what they will do is all speculation, but it would not be a surprise if he returned to Nashville for one more season.
