Colorado has made a late addition to its secondary.
On Saturday night, the Buffaloes announced the signing of defensive back Donavon Stephens, who played this past season at Georgia Military College and will now play for head coach Deion Sanders.
Listed at 5-foot-10, 170 pounds, Stephens redshirted this past season and comes to CU with four years of eligibility remaining.
Prior to his year at GMC, he played at Collins Hill High School in Suwanee, Georgia, where former Buffs star Travis Hunter played as a prep.
As a senior in 2024, Stephens recorded 18 tackles, two interceptions, nine passes defended and three fumble recoveries in helping his team go 11-2. On offense, he caught nine passes for 100 yards and a touchdown.
