KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The 2026 NFL Combine begins tomorrow, and it’s an extremely important one for the Kansas City Chiefs, who are picking the top 10 of the NFL Draft for the first time in 13 years.
The Chiefs have a strenuous offseason ahead of them, as they try to return to prominence following a 6-11 season.

Here are some important dates fans should know for this offseason.
2026 NFL Offseason Calendar
Feb. 23 – NFL Combine begins at Lucas Oil Stadium.
March 3 – Teams have until 3 p.m. to designate franchise or transition players.
March 9-11 – Beginning at 11 a.m. on March 9 and ending at 3 p.m. on March 11, clubs are permitted to contact and enter into contract negotiations with the certified agents of players who will become unrestricted free agents upon the expiration of their 2025 player contracts at 4:00 p.m. ET, on March 12.

March 11 – The 2026 league year, the trading period and free agency signing period begin at 3 p.m.
March 29-April 1 – Annual league meeting takes place in Phoenix, Arizona.
April 6 – Teams that hired a new head coach after the end of the 2025 regular season can begin their offseason workout programs.
April 15 – Deadline for clubs to time, test, visit, interview or conduct a physical examination with a draft-eligible player at its club facility.
April 17 – Deadline for restricted free agents to sign offer sheets.
April 20 – Teams with returning head coaches may begin offseason workout programs.
April 23-25 – 2026 NFL Draft.

May 1-4 or May 8-11 -Teams can hold their one, three-day rookie minicamp from Friday through Sunday or Saturday through Monday on one of the two weekends following the draft.
July 15 – Deadline for any club that designated a franchise player to sign them to a multiyear contract or extension. After this date, the player may sign only a one-year contract with his prior team for the 2026 season, and the contract cannot be extended until after the last regular-season game.
