The Arizona Cardinals could be in the market for a running back in free agency. James Conner will be 31 this year and is coming offf a season-ending injury after only averaging 3.0 yards per carry. He enters the final year of his contract, and the Cardinals have a new coaching staff and offensive.

According to ESPN’s Rich Cimini, Breece Hall and the Cardinals are a pairing to watch.

Hall will be a free agent. New Cardinals head coach Mike LaFleur was the Jets’ offensive coordinator when Hall was drafted by the Jets in the second round in 2022. Hall had 681 total yards and five touchdowns in seven games as a rookie before he tore his ACL as a rookie.

Last season, he rushed for a career-high 1,065 yards on 4.4 yards per attempt and caught 36 passes for 350 yards. He scored five total touchdowns.

He will be only 25 years old next season. He has averaged just under 1,000 yards (978) over his last three seasons, so while he will be coveted in free agency, a potential contract might not be massive.
