It’s a full circle moment for Mario Jeberaeel. Today the former Jaguars assistant joined the Klint Kubiak’s new Raiders staff and in so doing returned to his hometown.
Jeberaeel spent the first 24 years of his life in Las Vegas. He attended high school there and stayed to play football at UNLV. Afterward becoming a volunteer assistant on the UNLV coaching staff and then Western High School in Las Vegas.
From there, the offensive line coach moved his way through the college coaching ranks before entering the NFL as an assistant five years ago.
This past season he was a defensive assistant with the Jacksonville Jaguars, specializing in linebackers. Now that he’s seen how the other side lives, he is come back home both literally and figuratively. He is returning to his native Las Vegas to be the offensive run game coordinator.
