Victory Bell game between Cincinnati and Miami expected to move to TQL Stadium this fall

A storied college football rivalry that dates back to 1888 is expected to have a new venue this fall.Sources tell WLWT the Victory Bell game between the University of Cincinnati and Miami University is now expected to be played at TQL Stadium, home to MLS power FC Cincinnati, on Saturday, Sept. 19.Previously, Paycor Stadium was the agreed-upon neutral host site. Instead, FC Cincinnati’s home pitch is now in line to host its first-ever American football action of any kind — high school, college, or professional.TQL Stadium, home to a natural grass surface, has a soccer capacity of 26,000 spectators, and the college football Week 3, Sept. 19 date coincides with a 26-day period without an FC Cincinnati home match.However, after 2026, the Bearcats and RedHawks do not have additional matchups currently scheduled, potentially making this the last game that both teams could face each other for a while.Cincinnati previously won last year’s matchup between the two teams, as well as 17 of the last 18 games that they played.If this is the last battle for the Victory Bell for some time, it can be expected to be a hot ticket in the West End as college football season once again draws near.
