The New York Giants made a generous $10,000 donation to the Union High School football program last week, highlighting their ongoing commitment to supporting local youth athletics in New Jersey.

The contribution came during a special visit by several Giants representatives, including offensive lineman Marcus Mbow and head strength and conditioning coach Aaron Wellman, to Union High School in Union, New Jersey.

Ethan Medley, Director of Community Relations for the Giants, formally presented the check, which was proudly accepted by Head Coach Barris Grant on behalf of the UHS Farmers football team.

This donation aligns with the Giants’ tradition of providing equipment grants to high school programs, often through The Giants Foundation or community initiatives. Such support helps teams purchase necessary gear, upgrade facilities, and enhance player safety and development.

The visit allowed Giants personnel to engage directly with the student-athletes, offering inspiration and reinforcing the connection between professional and high school football in the region. Union High School expressed deep appreciation for the gesture, noting how it will positively impact their program moving forward.

“We are incredibly grateful to the New York Giants organization for their generosity and for taking the time to invest in our student-athletes,” said Union Athletic Director Ron Zieser. “For our players to hear firsthand from Markus Mbow about his journey, learn from Coach Aaron Wellman, and receive this support from the Giants is inspirational.”

Community members and school officials celebrated the partnership, viewing it as a boost for the team’s morale and resources ahead of future seasons. The Giants have a history of similar contributions to various New Jersey and regional high schools, underscoring their dedication to growing the sport at the grassroots level.
