Today, it’s a bit of a preview of the 2026 NFL Combine, which starts on Tuesday at Indiana Convention Center and Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana, and will feature exactly one first-round option for the Steelers at the quarterback position in Alabama’s Ty Simpson.

We know Pittsburgh was interested enough in Simpson to scout Alabama at least four times during the 2025 college football season — but are they still interested, and what do they and the rest of the NFL make of his medical issues and struggles down the stretch run of the 2025 season? That remains a mystery, that might be partially revealed this week.
