The Buffalo Bills have officially turned the page on the sad ending to the 2025 season and have started looking forward to a historic 2026 — sharing some information about how fans will expect quarterback Josh Allen to look.

The Bills closed out the final season at their old stadium, the venue that hosted the team for more than 50 years. The team’s final game was the regular-season finale against the New York Jets as the team slipped into a wild-card spot and played out their playoff run on the road.

The team is now officially ready for the next season, sharing an exciting announcement about the team’s new home.

The team took to social media on Monday to share an image for the new season, showing off a new logo with the stadium in the background. In an announcement shared to the team’s official website, the Bills shared more information about the new logo.

“The Buffalo Bills have unveiled the logo for the inaugural season at Highmark Stadium. The stadium is designed as a football-first venue and is set to see its first Bills game this fall,” the team noted.

The Bills will be wearing the logo when they take the field in 2026, the team added.

“Centered around the team’s iconic charging buffalo, the circular crest features a stylized render of the stadium, symbolizing a new home for football in Western New York. The logo will appear as a jersey patch for the first home game of the 2026 season, marking the next era of Buffalo Bills football.”

The team had a separate logo for their final stadium at what is now the old Highmark Stadium, holding special ceremonies as the season closed out to honor the longtime home.

Bills Catering to Josh Allen in New Stadium

The team has already made some improvements in the new stadium aimed at player safety, including one that earned an endorsement from Allen. As SI.com’s Ralph Ventre reported last year, the team is using a playing surface aimed at reducing injuries.

“In a move presumably aimed at maximizing player safety, Buffalo has committed significant financial resources to the development of a custom field that uses a special grass-growing technology,” Ventre wrote. “In recent years, the NFL Players Association has adamantly requested natural fields for all 32 teams.

Ventre added that a 2024 player poll from the NFLPA showed that 92% of players preferred grass over synthetic surfaces, and Allen was included on that list.

“We’re grass, brother,” Allen said of the new stadium during an appearance on The Pat McAfee Show. “We were told about it. We like grass.”

The stadium is also designed to reduce wind and weather on the field and fans. Though not a dome, the stadium has a roof covering much of the seats and a design to reduce the often whipping winds in Orchard Park.

The Bills have not yet announced the new schedule for Allen and his teammates, with the full season schedule coming later in April.
