FRANKFORT, Ill. (WLS) — Domestic battery charges against Misty McMichael, the widow of late Chicago Bears great Steve “Mongo” McMichael, have been dismissed, the Will County Circuit Court said.
The sheriff’s office said deputies were called to a Frankfort home on Kuse Road for a welfare check after someone hung up on a 911 call just before 5:30 a.m. Friday.
McMichael, 55, and a man both told responding deputies that they had been drinking and arguing for hours.
McMichael was originally charged with one count of misdemeanor domestic battery, the sheriff’s office said.
By Monday, her case had been dismissed in the court.
No other information was available.
Her late husband, a legendary Bears defensive tackle, died at age 67 after a battle with ALS last year.
