Quarterback Gunner Rivers committed to NC State football on Monday, according to an X post from his high school football team.

Rivers is the son of longtime NFL quarterback Philip Rivers,
who also played at NC State from 2000-2003. The elder Rivers is NC State’s
all-time leading passer (13,484 yards).

The younger Rivers also received scholarship offers from Auburn, Boston
College, Miami and South Carolina, according to

and the sixth-best quarterback in the 2027 class. He is listed at 6-foot-3.5
and 205 pounds. He attends St. Michael Catholic in Fairhope, Alabama.
