In fact, some Indianapolis Colts news could sway how things play out in free agency for the Bengals.Â

While it was previously reported, the Colts finally made official the hiring of former Bengals defensive line coach Marion Hobby.Â

That means Hobby is the latest former member of the Bengals to link up with former coordinator Lou Anarumo. And it could impact how Hendrickson views free agency, or even how the Colts browse the trade market.Â
For now, the Bengals will gauge Hendrickson’s value around the NFL while attending the combine, then decide on whether to attempt a tag-and-trade deal. Perhaps the Colts would be interested in that scenario.Â
Either way, the Colts were already a team to watch for Hendrickson…Hobby’s arrival might just strengthen that idea.Â
