Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce wedding news: A new update on the couple’s wedding has surfaced during the Kansas City Chiefs’ offseason.

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are planning a wedding, and even though they’ve kept the date and details of the event under wraps, there was an update about the venue on Monday, February 23.

Swift and Kelce’s wedding, of course, is happening amid Kelce deciding if he’s going to return to the NFL and Kansas City Chiefs for the 2026-27 season. Everyone has their own opinion about it, but on Monday, NFL analyst Tom Pelissero said that he truly believes Kelce will return.

“They have already been in contract talks,” Pelissero said, dropping news about Kelce and the Chiefs during an interview on “The Rich Eisen Show.” Pelissero also commented on Kelce and Swift’s wedding, stating, “Obviously, Travis has a lot going on in his life outside of football and decisions to make.”

ESPN analyst Mike Tannenbaum went the opposite direction, and in an interview on “Get Up” on Monday, February 23, he said that Kelce should retire. “If I’m Kansas City, go get the next guy. Honor Travis Kelce for what he’s done,” he said, “but go get the next young tight end and go take care of these other needs: tackle, running back and receiver.”

Whether or not Kelce retires, what’s more clear is that he’s getting married to Swift, and soon. Now, some news about the couple’s possible wedding venue has emerged.

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce Wedding News: Venue Update Surfaces Amid Kansas City Chiefs Offseason

There’s been plenty of talk and hypothesis surrounding when and where Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce will get married. Now, a report from NBC News Boston sheds light on the favored venue.

In the piece, Amelia Fabiano notes that Watch Hill in New England has been the favored venue when it comes to where people think these two will tie the knot.

“Watch Hill is a picturesque corner of Westerly, Rhode Island,” Fabiano notes. “It’s home to Taylor Swift’s well-known mansion, High Watch, perched above the ocean off a public beach access point.”

Fabiano adds, “Locals say Westerly is Rhode Island’s quieter counterpart to Newport. It’s got all the New England charm, ocean views for days and a tight‑knit community.”

Wedding Venue Thought to Be the Spot for Kelce and Swift Wedding May Not Be

Wedding planner Kate Murtaugh tells the outlet that Watch Hill seems like a “natural” fit. “I think it was also just a natural way of thinking. Like, well, she has this amazing home,” Murtaugh told NBC News Boston. “I think that it was just a very natural path, because people saw she was doing construction all summer.”

But, here’s the rub. In the report, Fabiano states that there have been “no paperwork, no permits, no police preparations” for such a wedding at the location, putting a hole in this theory. Also, Murtaugh says that the surround area doesn’t have many “big-brand hotels and those in the area have limited capacity,” since there’s “seasonal tourist traffic,” and “there would be major security demands for a star-studded event.”

So, in the end, Fabiano warns that a wedding there “would take major coordination” and that none of it is happening. So, after months of the Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce wedding being thought to take place at Watch Hill, that may just not be the case.
