The Colorado Buffaloes‘ spring camp begins in less than 10 days, but players are already busy at work, including some getting a workout in with a former Buff wide receiver.

Baltimore Ravens wide receiver LaJohntay Wester was back in Boulder last week, hoping to help the revamped wide receiver room get a taste for what being a Colorado wideout looks like.

Wester took to social media over the weekend, asking all CU receivers to meet him at Colorado’s practice facility. Transfer additions Kam Perry and Danny Scudero were the known current team members to join Wester for the workout.

Scudero and Perry are in line to become massive contributors for the Buffs, joining forces with fellow transfer DeAndre Moore and returner Joseph Williams. New offensive coordinator Brennan Marion has plenty of weapons to work with as he implements his Go-Go offense in Boulder.

Scudero was a Blienikoff Award semifinalist (best receiver in the nation), leading the nation in receiving yards. Perry performed well as a slot receiver for Miami (Ohio), averaging more than 20 yards per catch.

Scudero and Perry have much to learn from Wester, a fifth-round pick in last year’s NFL draft. Wester can offer valuable insights both on and off the field. All three made the transition to Colorado after playing at Group of Six programs, which can be challenging. However, Wester’s experience from Florida Atlantic University, a fellow Group of Six program, will certainly help the younger Buffaloes navigate the change.
